Maybeline 'Fit Me - Shine Free' Foundation Stick

I bought this at Target the other day because they had 30% off cosmetics. I was interested in the product because of it's shape, the shine free core and because it was on sale. So I gave it a go.

Firstly, I love how most of the shades are yellow toned - snaps to maybeline for finally realising that most people have yellow toned skin/ fake tan. So the color matches me very well - even better than the Fit Me liquid foundation.

I found the process of applying my foundation very quick, effective and easy. I also think the packaging is fab to. I blended it in with a flat top kabuki brush.

But I think that's where it ends. It was definitely not shine free. My skin felt and looked slimy after 4 hours of wearing this product and I felt uncomfortable. Maybe that is just my skin though (which is pretty combination). Saying that, I used it on my sister and it looked way better and the shine free factor seemed to work better.

However, I thought it covered my imperfections really well and I'll probably end up using it as a concealer or pass it off to my sister (as that's where most of my not so awesome products happen to end up).

I would give it a 7/10 - a pretty good product for others but not for me :)

Warm Soul - MAC Mineralize Blush

When I first bought this blush I wasn't that thrilled in it as I didn't try it on in store. So it sat in my draw for about 3 weeks..until I started to feel guilty and made the decision to give it another go.

I think I was just too tanned at the time - and maybe I was after something a little brighter to realise how pretty it really is.
It's a gorgeous shade which applys really smoothly. It's definitely not as glittery on the skin as it appears in the pan.

I do find it's not greatly long wearing and would love if it was just a touch more pigmented, however it's great if you aren't after too much. It's a lovely natural-pink for every day !
